I stumbled on the Nick Fury Hot Toy in my local video store. I was weak and bought him and holy gods he’s the sassiest looking toy I’ve ever come across.
I just…I just wanted to photograph Nick with a Zoid, even if the scale is hilarious.
Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury is a fan favourite, although his role in the Avengers film is quite minimal. He’s a behind-the-scenes kind of guy. His secrets have secrets!
This is oddly enough one of the more surprisingly awesome Hot Toys figures from the Avengers line. Every little detail is amazing. They didn’t go overload on the belt and holsters— it actually has that secret agent feel to it. He’s slick, he has easy access— and that bazooka is ready to take out any stupid-ass ideas he doesn’t agree with!
And look at that face sculpt! You can easily see that toy yelling at you at any given moment!
But best of all? THAT SUITCASE! It lights up, it’s compact, and it’s easy to carry. The details on it are gorgeous. It’s also really neat to note that the cosmic cube is removable!

- “Hannibal” Smith from the A-Team 6” line by Galoob (1983)
- Sgt. Rock by DC Direct (2002)
- Colonel Nick Fury from the Marvel Legends line by Hasbro (2009)
- The Punisher from the Marvel Legends line by Toy Biz (2003)
Photo inspired by The Expendables 2 movie by Lionsgate and Millenium Films, starring Slyvester Stallone, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Bar none, Hong Kong outfit Hot Toys make the most realistic action figures on the planet. So it’s nice to know that, with The Avengers destroying box office records all over the planet, Hot Toys has the license to produce large, expensive and very fancy figures based on the movie.
Nearly every major character in the film is or will soon be available (and we’ve even seen some already). Indeed, four of the are being thrown together in the one pack that’s being given away, with Kotaku readers able to hit up this link to enter the draw to win a bundle including Nick Fury, Captain America, Hawkeye and Thor. The same link will also let you know how to get your hands on Tony Stark’s Mark VI figure, which is limited to only 3000 pieces worldwide and won’t be available in stores.
Above you’ll find pics of the four bundled figures, the Iron Man Mark VI and the newly-announced Loki, who’ll be out in December and cost $210. Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow) is included as a sneak-peek and The Incredible Hulk models are still in development, along with the newest edition of Iron Man, Tony Stark’s Mark VII.

These are some amazing sculpts. I have the Iron Man one under the tag of the same name, and it’s similarly beautiful.
Here is another incredible work of art by Hot Toys. Samuel L Jackson’s Nick Fury from The Avengers just looks incredible.
