Nick Fury and Val in Infinity Gauntlet #1. Here’s hoping we get a scene like this in Avengers 2.

I guess to me Sitwell’s different enough that it didn’t occur to me to compare the two (though yeah, it does make sense since Sitwell was assigned to Stark Industries for awhile starting back in Tales of Suspense.) I guess the one reason I’m not too concerned yet with how issue #6 of Battle Scars played out is I’m waiting to see exactly what they do with Marcus. They kinda played around with the idea of having a son replace Nick back with Mikel in Double Edge: Omega back in ‘95 but just for one issue. I’m hoping they have enough sense to make Marcus a unique character instead of a duplicate of classic Fury. Unfortunately it does make sense for Marvel to cash in on the success of the movie franchise while they can (even if it does piss off the old fans.) If it makes them money, they’re going to do it.
